A senior advocate, Tariq Aziz Malik, has sent a legal notice to the Lahore High Court (LHC) registrar, asking him to withdraw an advertisement for the recruitment of 339 civil judges in Punjab. The lawyer claimed that the procedure adopted for the recruitment was unwarranted by law and the constitution. He raised the objection that the Punjab Public Service Commission, as laid down by Section 5 of the Punjab Judicial Services Rules, was the only authority that could hold the examination. The lawyer said the advertisement stated that written examination would be held for two subjects, which amounted to degrading the office of the civil judge, as earlier the applicants were tested in seven subjects. Malik stated that according to the advertisement, the seats for female candidates were reserved, which was a violation of Articles 8, 18, 25 and 37 of the Constitution. He said the Supreme Court, in Shireen Masood’s case in 1990, had held that there should be no gender discrimination. staff report

In Civil Law you must concentrate on,
Civil Procedure Code 1908,
Contract Act ,
Specific Relief Act,
Land Revenue Act,
TheLimitation Act
The Registration Act.
but you must emphasise on CPC.

In Criminal Law you must go through thoroughly on the following subjects.
Criminal Procedure Code 1898.
Pakistan Penal Code.

Essay would most probably will be from the current topics, and the max marks for essay are 20.
