i dont think so the main thing which can allow you to appear in judiciary exam is LLB degree. however if u r a practising lawyer so it is a plus point.

The vacant posts in the subordinate courts should be immediately filled and funds for creation of new additional posts of Civil Judges cum Judicial Magistrates may be acquired from respective governments. Presently, judicial officers are appointed through respective Provincial Public Service Commissions which takes time. Keeping in view the emergent need of judges to clear backlog, the High Courts should consider making appointments on adhoc basis. So, while making appointments by concerned High Courts on adhoc basis minimum two years practice is required as a lawyer, this exam is based on two papers not like PCS. Earlier practice was not necessary while applying through PCS Judicial Exams.

well i am a practicing lawyer and waiting anxiously for judicary exam....
and i can assure u that no practice is needed for this exam.... let me tell u in detail..... there is a case pending on the matter that wether this judicail exam be conducted under PCS or under the supervsion of high court....if the case decides in favour of PCS then no practice needed...but if the case decides otherwise then 2 yr practice will be compulsory...and by 2 yrs we mean that 6 months internship, then written test, then interview then u get ur lisence..and when u get it ur practice date starts...from that date onwards two yrs practice will be counted.... but for now it is under pcs and no practice is required.

Appointments are made by High Courts in Sindh and Punjab whereas this year appointments were by Commission in Balochistan and interviews were conducted under chairmanship of CJ BHC and not sure about KPK.
