Hello I have some confusion and I want to share here.
Is it good to be part of AD ISI (Technical Cadre) BPS-17 (60K starting salary)
OR to be part of SPS-8 under SPD. (60K starting salary)
Please consider promotions and benifits etc. What you think is better?
I dont know but I heard that in ISI Army personnel doesn't treat civilians AD in good way and also promotion chances are very less.

2) where does the training of AD ISI take place ? what is the total period for it ?

Personally i will recommend you to go for MOD instead of SPD.

There is difference in pay, facilities, work, social life. office timing, posting etc.

If you join MOD as AD-Technical there are most chances your posting will be in Islamabad.

What about the fact that Army personnel there doesn't treat civilians in good way and less promotions.

Fact about army personal treating civilians is not true. All the officers are treated same way. and other depends upon you, how you work and your relations in the department.

Promotions are also same, in AD rank you go in next rank which is DD after 4,5 years, and same in SPD, after SPS-8 you go to SPS-9 in about 4-5 years.

Pay of MOD better than SPD. I remember last year i was selected Assistant Manager. SPS-8. for oracle programming cadre, and they said pay is about 50 thousands.

I asked them about accommodation, they said you will be put in the waiting list.

and then i asked about the convience they said you will be given shared conyenice like hiace etc which will pick you from your stop and then others also.

i asked about posting, they said this is not confirm but you can be appointed anywhere in Pakistan.

I was already working in BPS-17 permanent in Punjab Government so i did not joined. And then after 1 year again i got call for joining if i am willing, but i again did not joined.

If you are selected AD Engineering, then most of your service will be in Islamabad/rwp.

and the last its your choice where you want to go, both departments are federal and both are top departments of Pakistan, wherever you are working you will be serving your nation.
