I received the appointment letter from the office of DG ASF, Karachi, for the post of Inspector ASF in December 2009, with the following terms and conditions. I was directed to ASF Academy on 21 December 2009 : -

a. Physical Criteria : - Measurement of height, chest and wight will be carried out on the day of your joining in ASF at ASF Academy Karachi according to the prescribed standard.

b. Probation : - You will be on probation for a period of one year from the date of your joining. The period of your probation may be extended by a further period not exceeding one year. On expiry of the first year of probation, if no order is issued, the probation shall be deemed to have been extended for further period of one year automatically

c. Pay and Allowances : - You have been appointed in the Basic Pay Scale - 16 Rs. 6060 - 470 - 20160). You will be entitled to draw pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules duly approved by the Federal Government from time to time.

d. Posting : - I've been offered posting at Quetta Airport.

On joining you will have to undergo the following : -

Medical Examination by the Civil Surgeon (Central Government)

Training : -

Basic Aviation Security Course (Training) for a period of 24 weeks.

Training Venue : -

ASF Camp, old area near Pehlwan Goath Karachi.

You have to sign a bond for joining service here goes the details : -

If you leave from first to fifth week of training you have to pay Rs: 15k.
From sixth to tenth week. Rs 25k.
from 11th to 20 week. Rs 30k
from 21st to 24th week 40 k
after 24 weeks and before 5 years of service. 45 k

I refused to join the job and received the confirmation from ASF Headquarter as well. The have selected the candidates from waiting list and you are among them because many people did not join that service. You will be informed for training when its arranged.

You will receive letter from ASF HQ Karachi for further details, training venue etc.

thanks for providing details,brother where all medical will be held?and which things did surgeon examined?i have been operated in left foot during play football..thats why need your full guidance about it because in letter nothing is mentioned about medical examination.they just said if it necessary.. so please guide me in details

I haven't have that experience. On the contrary, I hve been to Civil Surgeons twice in Islamabad, on the eve of my recruitments in Federal Govt. Both checked very casually, nothing serious. All they want to know is whether or not the person is having any disease like Hypetitas etc. Rest they also took a couple of X-Rays of Chest etc. It was not a very detailed examination.

If the similar process is repeated there, which I'm sure won't be, than there is nothing to worry about.

If you don't over-weigh and have the standard chest and height and are sure you don't have any severe disease, than I think nothing to worry about.

You said you had an operation of left foot... If you can run and walk without any problem, than it would be no problem for them.

My suggestion, If you are doing a Govt. job or even a private job, than get a leave for, lets say, 15 days. (THis was what I was to do, if I had to go to Karachi). Go there, let them examine you, if they say you're OK than fine, otherwise, God forbid, you may come back with no harm.

I was directed by FPSC to submit Fresh Physical Fitness Certificate as per advertisement requirement with name stamp of Registered Medical Practitioner i.e:

Requirement...........................Male..................... Female

Minimum Height..................... 5'-6'' .......................5'-2''
Minimum Weight................... 106 lb or 48.1kg .........45 kg

Minimum Chest Measurement....Normal 32-3/4"
..........................................Expanded 34-3/4"


Above mentioned figures are requirements of the post of Inspector ASF. Later medical examination will be by ASF. If you fulfill the above criteria then no need to worry just wait for the letter from ASF Headquarter and report accordingly.

I dont know how would they arrange a seperate trainig programme for inspestors only. coz the trainig usually lasts for 6 months followed by passing out parade. Their r aroung 500-600 trainees in the ASF academy. Trainees consists of Gaurds(constables), ASI, Inspectors and Deputy Assistant Directors. May be they arrange special short training for the newly appointed inspectors or they may advertise posts of Gaurds and ASI in the near future and call the newly appointed inspectors to join the academy.
As far as the medical test is concerned it is conducted after joining the ASF Academy. Trainees are presented before a board consiting of civil surgeon and other specialist. Height and chest are measured, eye sight is checked and completed blood test is carried out. Trainees having serious heart,lungs or eye problems and hepititis infected are rejected, rest are allowed to continue the training.

dear,thanks,tell me are you inspector/dad in ASF?means all tests like aids,hepatitus,tb,blood cp,x-rayss,bp,pulse rate,heart beat,dentist,ent all these included like pakl army procedures or only blood tests??have your training completed?and i belong to pindi,do you think that they will posted me at Islamabad Airport or anywhrere in pakistan?what is your experience?

after completion of ur training they will give u a forrm in which u have to write three stations where u wnt to be posted. most probably they will post u to ur home station or the station which u hav given as ur 1st priority. their are total 44 airports where ASF is deployed.

When the ASF will send you the letter there'll be written your place of posting for a total of three years. For example, I was posted in Lahore Airport (Quite a dream it was ).

As far as the information provided by bscuop, I don't know about it, coz I didnt reach that level.
