at the time of joining u will be temporary posted at a station, after completion of ur trainig u will be given a permanent station

I too have received letter of recommencdation from FPSC for the post of inspector. Before joining this post i want to know it's future prospects and place of posting. I am looking forward to taking CSS 2011 exams. Can one study while doing this job and hope to clear CSS exam.

Training will be of about 6 months and you have to live in barracks in ASF Academy so no cool atmosphere for study. Moreover, I contacted a DAD ASF and ASF headquarter they said we will not allow undertraining Inspectors to leave for exam.

I'll advice you if you think that you can make your career in other departments with similar position then prepare for CSS and other competitive exams otherwise you should join ASF. It is not easy to get the job of Grade -16 in such a tough and competitive atmosphere.

After completion of training you can study for exams and go for leave from job. Duty hours are around 8. If your training is before Feb 2011 then you have to plan for CSS 2012. I was offered posting my hometown prior to posting.

what kind of medical examination they conduct? Full humiliating strip exam like the one in army and CSS or general examination? Seniors especially ASF guys are requested to shed light.

bros there is a problem i just gave blood test and i got a shock,my chalestrol level and sugar level were quite up in the tests,everything else was all clear no serious disease like Hypetitas.So i just want to know what are my chances ,they (ASF) take very detail medical or less serious one,kindly seniors help me because the things they asked trainees to bring along is quite long and expensive,i dont want to spend a lot of money to get there and to be asked to butt out doe to medical test on my first day.

well u dont have to take all the stuff mentioned in the list.. just take the khakhi uniform wit ur self.. rest every thing is available in the shop at the academy... on what date u r asked to report to the academy???
