I have been selected for the post of civilian labour officer, MOD. can any one tell me what is the job description of the post.

First of all congratulations on becoming the part of civil services.
As far as i remember, job description was given in Advertisement, so please check it out to find the answer. But most of the people are careless like me, who do not keep record of such things, which is very important to keep.Notwithstanding above, your possible job can be,
1) First of all, keep it in mind you may be given any job, so do not hesitate and try your best to excel in that field
2) Forces have civilian employees in lower cadre, which is their backbone. Most of them do physical work and their salary is low. However their are various social welfare schemes for these employees. Your most probable job can be supervision and welfare of these workforce. Remember its very noble deed and do whatever best you people can do to these employees as they have to manage their daily soaring requirements in their low wages.

2ndly i want to know is there anyone who is not going to join this job....infact i got thru this but low in merit not in top 5 so i just want to know...that if someone doesnt join then may be lower merit candidate can get chance...thanks
