I was taken aback by the result of ASF inspector Balochistan Domicile as the test and interview went really well.There were three candidates for interview in karachi.I was pretty sure of my selection but someone from Islamabad was selected.Now the question arises was merit compromised? Does anyone know that interview for Islamabad candidates is conducted in Islamabad seperately ? If yes,then why candidates from Quetta were called for interview to karachi as FPSC has its office in Quetta.I am very disappointed.Seniors please comment.

FPSC interviews 3 or 4 candidates against every seat, and hence selects just one out of every 4 candidates, plus it considers many other factors in addition to the interview itself, including the candidate's academic background, educational qualification, written test marks etc. As per my experience, FPSC selection procedure is fair enough, as I was selected as the only female candidate from all over Pakistan in my case (case no. F4 40 2011/R) of Inspectors, along with 21 males, with zero approach/source. Don't lose hope, better luck next time!

Brother don't lose the hope. The candidate selected from islamabad, must be from balochistan, as he might had appeared from islamabad. that's why his interview was also conducted there.

there is almost zero favoritism in fpsc. so keep struggling. hopefully, your hard work will bear fruit.

Dear Maaz Ahmed don't be disappointed. FPSC always select candidates on pure merit. You was very close to that post and may be you had lower marks than other candidates in written test. Now you have qualified written test it must be green signal for other tests. so please dont loose hope one day you will get much better job than this one.
