Pattern of Pschological test of ISI

hello,


can any one mention the pattern of pschological test of ISI? is it comprised upon different steps i.e. word asssociation, sentence completion, story writing by seeing pictures, mathematical and logical reasonning questions, some peice of writing of biography or writing merit/demerits of your person, critical analysis of favorite books etc.i think it s enough for four hour test. tell me if there ll be group discussion or group planning and finding out of solution of problems too? as in CSS psychological test is taken for two days and next day there is group discussion or group planning task/problematic solution but ISI psychological test duration is 4 hours.......i think there is not group discussion etc.....if it is so then tell me what kind of topics i prepare for group discussion related with current affairs, philosophical or literary ones?

Salamz Dear sister Nabila !
As per my experience, there is not much to prepare for psychological test of any institution. Be natural and be POSITIVE. Whether its story writing, sentence completion, command task etc. one must be positive in his/her approach; e.g. if u make a sentence from word "sleep" dont make it as I am found of sleeping allot. rather u should make it as six our sleep is enough for a healthy person etc. Similarly in story writing ur mental approach to attempt must show positive, constructive signs.
And in command & administrative tasks be confident but natural. This is what is required to be successful in the psychological tests.
So don't bother much about it; just take care of the overall approach during the psychological test.

will there be any mathermatics related question, series ? and other if any memeber has already taken the test in some previous time plz help us who are going to take the test

Sweet Devil:

First they will take a typical Intelligence Test as you might have sit in Air force or Army recruitment cetners but tell you what This intelligence (aptitude) test would be easier than those mentioned particularly Intelligence test for Air Force. Yes simple Mathmatics, series, pattrens, shapes, riddles etc would be included, you shouldn't expect any abstruse mathmeatic or graduate level in them. may be you will be asked to attempt 90 question in 30 or fewer minutes. They will give you a break than and upon correcting the papers they will classify you as pass or fail i.e. Failing candidates would be leaving, at that point, for their homes and successful candidates would go further.

Then it would be a test for Time Management and Under Stress Performance i.e. A person will stand on the stage and would flaunt boards with different words and they will ask you to write anything that comes into your mind after reading that. They would tell you that they would show each of this word for at least five seconds but it won't be so. Better be careful. Some boards would be displayed for five or more seconds, some two or three and some of them, hardly you would be able to see as it would just be a swing of their arms. Then further two test would be given to you both in English and Urdu comprising again Sentences from sole word or Sentence completion. Pictoral Tests. You'll have to write sensible stories in less than 2/3 minutes with morals. Purpose of these tests is deep pschological analysis of what's going on in your minds. They could repeat these steps in any order and introduce anything in between but more or less these would be the tests.

Better be careful of two things.

1. Be there IN TIME thoroughout your tests.
2. DO NOT CHEAT, START WRITING BEFORE TIME and DO NOT KEEP ON WRITING AFTER THE TIME.

They look very linient and easy going but they have EYES all over you. I have literally seen some of the candidates being expelled from their tests for acting over-smartly. The then Instructer shouted on them, "We don't need people who are breaking discipline at the very first step". and he showed them the way out despite their appeals. For rest of us he shouted, "Ham Pakistan ko chalatay hain....yeh hamein chalanay ki koshish ker rahay hain". So forget about anything that you have about exams like cheating or playing smart with them. Remember they are ISI.

And people have they advertised again in 2007 as I was abroad i couldn't realize any of their ad. Please answer my question as well. Have they advertised this year or not yet?

Thanks. Have faith in Allah. Do not be hasty to solve whole 90 questions. They know it's not possible in 30 minutes time. Anyone solving only 70 or fewer but correct one will insha Allah qualify. You shouldn't answer incorrectly in a haste to complete all 90 question.

Remember All 90 questions can NOT be solved in 30 minutes so forget it. and They also know it. This is the trick. Keep your sense, wits and faith in Allah in tact. There is a lot more to go once you qualify this step.
