Today i visited board office for verification. What i learnt from board officials is summarized as

There are two things i.e. Attestation and Verification

[B]1- Attestation:[/B] According to board officials, attestation is done for those who want to study abroad or for any international affair. (It refers to attestation procedure first from board and then from IBCC and costs around PKR5100 for board + IBCC Fee). Originals certificates and photocopies are attested.

[B]2- Verification:[/B] Verification is done for use of within Pakistan most probably when departments/organizations asks boards to do that. (It refers to the process of verification from board only and costs around PKR1500. They attest only two photocopies not originals and require letter from department/organization

Now NAB has mentioned in letter that verification of documents is required. So i concluded that i need to verify only 2 set of photocopies (Verification Procedure as mentioned above) from board only. So i got it verified from board.

It is very simple if one follows below instructions and will get it within hour.

Requirements: Original certificates FSc and Matric) with 3 set of photocopies (1 for their record and 2 will be verified and returned), 6 photographs, Original CNIC and one copy, Interview letter of NAB

When i went to verification department, they said that they can do only when department/organization asks them and they send it directly to the department/organization who requested. I showed them NAB Interview letter and told them that they had asked to bring it along while coming for interview. They understood and verified 2 set of photocopies.

Note: One must understand that NAB needs verification of degrees only. If we present 2 set of verified photocopies it is obvious that originals are genuine certificates which serves the purpose.

I am sure the puzzle is solved now.

Can you explain HEC's verification process in the same way? They've mentioned on the website that walk-in applicants' degrees are attested on the same day. But somwhere else on the website, it's mentioned that Karachi office takes at least 5 working days. I got my degree from my university today, and have six working days before my interview. Things do not look good

Dear i haven't gone for HEC process yet but what i have learnt from people is sharing with you.

First of all register yourself @ [url]www.das.hec.gov.pk[/url] and complete the application form. Once completed, get a print of it and go to HEC office with all your documents original and copies, CNIC, not sure about mugshots and the printed application form early in the morning. For lahore office, i am advised to go there by 7:30 AM. They will start issuing toke at 8:00 AM. you would be called in office at your turn and fill the application online, submit documents. They will tell you when to collect. For Lahore office, its 3 working days. To get token, you have to visit at 8:00 because they wont issue token after 11:00AM. Rest the people who have gone through the process may share the process.

One important thing, for HEC there is one process i.e. verification. For attestation of photocopies, It is must to get original first. It means you have to apply for original and photocopies at same time.

r u from karachi? is karachi board verify within one day?

Guys,from regional office Karachi, HEC attestation needs 6 days. u will need to be there between 8-9 am however later u get there longer will be the queue (for the token) , after 9am the will close the door and will not allow u to join the queue. they say that there is 50 token quota but they ignore it and allow every1 a token who is in line to get one. (be there early, don't risk a day)

anyways before this you need to get a slip print out from their online reservation system.. (it doesn't reserve u a spot but they need the printout so get it)


what else u need

NIC copy (also keep the original)
Matric and Inter certificate original and a photocopy ( don't need marksheet)
Degree(s) u need to verify and related transcript/marksheet original and copy
fee in cash

they will guide rest of the way when reach there.

they will give u a date 5/6 days later to collect ur documents ( i got it back on 6th day)..

That was Multan board. It depends upon the person sitting over there. If you properly follow the procedure, it will take an hour or so. I did that in less than an hour. You must insist them to get it same day.

Don't go for IBCC attestation. Just get two copies verified from board. Take a copy of Interview letter with you. I hope it will be done in a day.

People at federal board in islamabad do not DO nOT [B]DO NOT[/B] verify original documents. They only verify photocopies
