Default Interview Experience

So the interview was fairly traditional starting with introduce yourself to what makes you the best candidate for this job. Discussion of the essay and discussion about non-academic interests were also part of the interview. Lasted for 10-15 minutes. There were three folks on the panel with fourth one sitting separately on the side (not sure what he was doing).

Before the interview we were asked to write an essay on procrastination. I was disappointed at the quality of candidate pool when large portion of the candidates asked what does procrastination mean.

Regarding the incomplete documents, officials are lenient and give time to submit the missing/incomplete documents.

Overall my experience was relatively positive about the conduct of officials and the general environment.

There were only one or two questions asked related to my field and they were very high level questions. Yes non-academic means any of your interests including hobbies.

First, do not be late.

Rough break down of time is:

40-50 mins for Documents verification
10 mins for essay
10-15 mins for interview of each candidate.

Officials are in general friendly and accommodating but do not test their patience.

Not sure I provided a good answer to this question. Roughly, I said that my educational background trained me to be more inquisitive and gives me good eye for spotting information which is inconsistent.

see,how much time they took in documents verification!

I am thinking, how are they managing tens of students in a day if they are taking that much time in just documents verification
