Majority of these JIOs were recruited in 2012 and were given training in COMSATS when I was studying there. Before that most of the people of NAB consisted of people on deputation from other departments.

It's surprising how only in 4 years they have become fed up with the hierarchical structure of the organization and have declared mutiny....blocking the way of hundreds.who have worked hard for.these posts and have made it through the written stage out of a total of around 80k applications. Many of these candidates might be unemployed for years and this seems like their best hope of securing a job only to be delayed further.

Lets hope the news is not authentic as i myself think the other and simpler way. If there was such due promotion at hand, NAB high ops would not be so inconsiderate to announce the seats in the first place that is what i think.

Not rumours 100% confirmed by myself from a source in NAB today.....JIO's have indeed submitted a writ petition in Islamabad high court.....the source said if someone high up intervenes the issue maybe solved quickly otherwise would have to wait for the court verdict....and mind you this petition was submitted before written test...

The high ups at the moment are busy with their own issues in SC as today SC today gave verdict that the plea bargain powers of the chairman are no longer applicable and have been removed section 25 to be precise....so this laundry shop would be closed in which clean chit was given to people on payback of a few amount of corruption.

Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali maintained that NAB was exercising powers that even the court was not entitled to. “A person can visit the NAB office, settle the matter over a cup of coffee, and save his job,” the CJ said.

Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh said that NAB was like a person standing in a busy marketplace screaming “Do corruption and then return it voluntarily”.

“If a case goes to the FIA there is no option of voluntary return, but the same case in NAB has the option of voluntary return. Isn’t this unfair?” he said.

He added that bureaucrats who are being investigated are actually getting promotions.

Let us suppose the scenior intervenes and the hight court gives ruling againt the writ, then these JIOs will challenge this decision in supreme court.
This whole process will easily take a year or two..
So, i guess its the end of the story.

No its not. The promotions of the said JIOs who have filed the petition is due in march and all they want is to delay the process so that to get seniority before new ADs join. Furthermore, their promotion will have no concomitant disadvantage for the new comers as all this is well known to high ups and the advertised posts are result of some serious deliberations.
