Equivalency and Verification
10. Equivalency for Foreign Degrees
- If you have foreign degree, you need to apply at earliest for the equivalence to HEC. - As they take months to years to issue that. And, in some cases they dont even issue the same. - You will need Equivalency Letter at an Interview or Joining Stage, which is 4 months or 5 months respectively from the closing date. - Yes, you can send your blood relative to do this exercise on your behalf. Procedure for Equivalency (Foreign) - Fill an online application form at http://des.hec.gov.pk/ - Screenshots of this online portal are http://des.hec.gov.pk/?qs=C203wDqmAS...hNYdczAf5geERT - Print the form - Go to HEC Equivalence Cell with all your academic documents originals and 3 set of copies. - Documents required includes SSC & HSC Certificate and Marksheets, CNIC, Passport, Visa, proof of residence abroad, Dissertation / Thesis First and Last Chapter, and Admission Letter, Degree and Transcript. - Cash payment of Rs. 5,000 at Bank Counter adj. to Equivalence Cell. - You will get the Equivalence sooner, but that would be provisional and you need to verify that by asking your dean of the university to email to sasim@hec.gov.pk (Syed Asim Hussain, Deputy Director, Attestation and Accreditation, HEC) stating that you were a student at their university for that period and you were graduated, etc. Ask your dean to send the same email to you also at the same time, and when you get that email you also email to the above email address, not changing anything. - After they get this verification email, they will send you the final letter within 2-3 days. 11. Verification / Attestation of Educational Documents for Degrees HEC - Takes 1 working day (Islamabad) and 5 working days (Other Regional Centres) - Need to reach HEC at around 0700 hrs in the morning to submit your documents timely, as there are limited tokens available for the same. - For detailed procedures visit: http://feed.pk/932/procedure-require...onattestation/ 12. Verification / Attestation of Educational Documents SSC / HSC - Even this needs to be done as soon as possible. - Takes around 30 days for verification from the Educational Boards, except for Federal Board which does it on the same day and normally within 2 hours. - IBCC takes 3 5 working days, after the same has been verified by the Educational Board. - Verification of SSC / HSC Certificate and Mark sheet cannot be done at the same time, if you have done them from different Educational Boards. As for HSC verification you need to submit, original Matric / SSC Certificate and Marksheets. Procedure: - Submit the Certificate and Mark sheets to your respective Board. - They will give you one copy each for Certificate and Marksheet verified for the IBCC. - Submit the Originals and Number of Copies you need to get Attested from the IBCC. - Attestation Form IBCC (Read Instructions for further clarity) http://www.ibcc.edu.pk/Downloads/AForm.pdf |
