Its not opposite or singular/plural kind of pair.

When they say, "Write the first word that comes to your mind", it means they want to check your thinking process.

e.g Cat ----- mouse

Cat----- eyes

Cat----loving

All these are possible pairs, but each one has different meaning to a psychologist. So try to come up with words that have a better potential value for a psychologist.

maryammalik,

here pair asked for these words.i am confused that comfort is not the pair of chair.it represents quality that chair is comfort for sitting.same case is in other words.
i want to know that what will be the pair of these words.

its the mind game ....
like cat : ran away.
blood : ended or left its color.
boos : always right
conflict : to be solved
fun : observed
gun : used in the offense
country : missed by me ( me in foreign)
chair : thanked all participants.
performance : admired

There are no absolute pairs of these words.

Pair means to match two things. I matched comfort with chair because chair provide comfort to you when you sit on it. You may find something else more suitable like sitting. Its all on your comprehension.

They want to check how do we perceive different things. Thus we have to mention what may come in our mind and they will rank us psychologically. Its not like pair of words in english where we have to match them correctly. Thus no right or wrong answer.

P.S : May be I'm not able to understand your question. I hope someone else will help you better.

malik, therefore this test is called to be too tough cause the people often deceived by the words. This is not about the pair of words we make like good = well , brave = bold.
no absolutely not. this pair mean the word which may complete your sentence with a sense whatever (sense) you have. if it is like mentioned by you then please tell me is there any pair of word cat? no not at all. anyhow, everyone has his one understanding.

I am sorry, but why would you call a test tough?
The pattern of answer is not told does not mean if some expect a pair and write a word right over there. It is nothing to do with the concpet only sentence completion concept.

You may be correct. If so, then it is the responsibility of the NAB/NTS to inform prior to the test.

Other wise it is not a difficult test but a DECEIT test. One never knows -ve, +ve or neutral.

The words "Pair" could have been clearly mentioned with respect to English Grammar Concept, i.e. complet with "subject" or "predicate"

AOA i have same problem have u gotten specialisation certificate yet? i have a 3.56 cgpa and a CA inter but the problem is finance is only written on transcript the ppl at university siad they wont issue any specialistion certificate as it is mentioned on transcript

Kindly go through the sample paper again.

In the first question of part B they have asked us to 'complete the sentence' whereas the second question clearly states 'Pair with the word that comes at your first thought'. I'm merely following the instruction.

Why couldn't there be any pair of cat? You can pair it with many words like some may say its 'cute' . Some may find it 'creepy'. Some may link it to laziness and use the word 'lazy' . A few inspired by tom and jerry might just link it with 'rat' so on so forth.

Default attention please
As some people were were confused over the issue of qualifying for both posts i-e Asst Director and JIO.The test centers were different and time was same.
I personally visit NTS Lahore office and they told me that such candidates can appear for any post of their choice, single test will be conducted for both posts and automatically it will be marked for both posts
