There may not be need of another post http://www.cssforum.com.pk/beginners-guide/css-competitive-examination/76199-seniors-please-query-regarding-nab-jobs.html...

Has anybody asked him to renounce his other nationality?

It is often said that a civil servant should not be having a dual nationality, however, there is no such rule in black and white. There are a lot of civil servants having dual nationalities, as such this may not be an issue.

Let him ask from the NAB management, if NAB is having any such restriction or not. Do not go with hearsay, seek evidence/rule to this effect.

thank u very much sir.he hasn't been contacted in this regard by any of NAB officials, but the problem is that denmark doesn't come in the ambit of dual nationality allowing country they have no treaty with pakistan of dual natioanllity, means he is a danish national,i told him to discuss the matter with the officials on 6 th march(joining date/report date),i dont think it disqualifies him, after being selected as he is willing to surrender..

After reading it, a technical question came in my mind. When your friend applied for job at NAB was he having nationality of Denmark? Or he got nationality thereafter.? In other words, when he applied for the post was he not having Pakistani nationality or he left the nationality after that? In case he was not a citizen of Pakistan at the time of submission of forms, then how come he submitted the forms because the he was ineligible ! ...... However, he should check from the NAB HRM people about it whether foreigners of Pakistani origin were allowed to contest or otherwise.

Further, for taking back nationality of Pakistan, he will be required to submit some documents to Ministry of Interior and their processing etc will take time, he should also check from NAB people, will they allow him ample time for all that processing etc. Hope there would be a way out.
