Competitive Examination-2015 for recruitment to 04 posts (Merit =02, & Sind(R) = 02) of Assistant Director (BS-17), in the Survey of Pakistan will be held w.e.f. 31-10-2015 simultaneously, at Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta subject to sufficient number of candidates at the respective station. Both male & female candidates are eligible. 2. Eligibility Criteria (a) Qualification: 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics/Geography/Physics/ Chemistry as one of the main subjects from a recognized University OR 2nd Class Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized University. (b) Age Limits: 22-32 years on the closing date for submission of application. 3. Age-Relaxation: The Maximum age limit shall be relaxed as given in Rule-4 of Rules & Regulations of Competitive Examination-2015 for the above posts. 4.Exam Fee: The Exam Fee Rs.2200/- (non-refundable) is to be deposited in National Bank of Pakistan under the Head of Account “C-02101-Organs of State, FPSC Exam Fee”. Blank Treasury Challan (T.R.6) is available at FPSC website, which can be downloaded. 5.PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION: All aspirants may apply online through FPSC website www.fpsc.gov.pk for the said Competitive Examination-2015 on or before 03-08-2015 followed by submission of hard copy of online form along with all documents, so as to reach the FPSC Headquarters, Islamabad within 10 days of the closing date as per procedure stipulated in Rule-10 of Competitive Examination-2015 for the above posts. 6.Rules & Regulations, Application Form and Syllabus for said Competitive Examination-2015 are available on FPSC Website www.fpsc.gov.pk 7.CLOSING DATE For Submission of Online Applications is 03-08-2015. 8.CANDIDATES ARE ADVISED TO; (i) Carefully fill the online form. The hard copy of online application form must have the same entries as in online form. No subsequent alteration in the entries of online form shall be accepted. (ii) Attach all attested copies of required documents, photographs with the hard copy of online application form and must be dispatched to Secretary, FPSC so as to reach to FPSC Headquarters, Islamabad within 10 days of the closing date. (iii) Be careful that examination centre once selected shall not be changed. No request in this regard shall be entertained. (iv) Correctly enter CNIC No. & date of birth in online form and in its hard copy. Wrong entry shall lead to rejection of candidature. (v) Strictly comply with the Rules & Regulations of Competitive Examination-2015 for recruitment to the above posts placed on FPSC website. Why these post are not in the jobs section of fpsc site and where are the application form and syllabus for the said post?

It seems absurd rather ridiculous to take a competitive exam for 4 posts out of which 2 are reserved for Sindh(R).
Dont know why fpsc is conducting written paper based exam for 17 grade post at such a small level.

What would be the paper pattern.... if anyone has the past papers... please do share... or if anyone has appeared before in the said exam please share experience... especially paper of mathematics comprising 300 marks

(1) Islamiat: Duration of Paper 03 hours Total Marks 100 Basic Principles of Islam. (i) Articles of faith. (ii) The Concept and Spirit of Tauheed. (iii) Finality of Prophethood. (iv) Practices of Islam. (2) Islamic History: (i) The Holy Prophet of Islam, Perfect personality Main Events of his life. Conception of Sunnah. (ii) Brief Survey of the following: ― Khulfa-i-Rashideen, Umayyads; Abbassids; Muslims in Spain and North Africa, Post Mongol Muslim period (Persian, Ottoman Turks, Muslims in Indo-Pakistan sub-continent) ; Islam in the 19th and 20 centuries; The world of Islam today. (iii) The Holy Quran, its revelation, compilation and basic principles. Salient characteristics: ― (a) its revelation and compilation. (b) Certain basic principles: (i) Duty towards Allah (Submission to his Laws). (ii) Duty towards Society (Equality, justice and honesty intellectual as well as financial). (iii) Duty towards Nature. ― [Understanding (through experimentation), conquest and domination of the forces of nature in the service of Allah]. (iv) Duty towards. ― (Moral development and purification with an object to serve God’s people). 11. WRITTEN EXAMINATION (i) The medium of the Examination shall be English. (ii) The standard of subjects shall be of Bachelor’s degree of a Pakistani university. (iii) The Examination shall be passed by a candidate as a whole and not in parts. (iv) Subjects for the Competitive Examination shall comprise of compulsory papers of 700 marks and optional papers of 200 marks as prescribed in Appendix-II Optional papers should be of 200 marks. Now, all of the subjects in optionals are of 200 marks, so you have to opt only one subject from the following, 1. Survey (200 Marks) 2. Pure Mathematics (200 Marks) 3. Geography (200 Marks) 4.
