Brother, I have appeared in CSS 2013, CSS 2015 but unfortunately could not qualify. As far as Fpsc General Recruitment is concerned my css preparation has helped a great deal in qualifying for the said posts so cannot be summarized by naming only few books.
But to answer your query I'm naming some sources of information I have gone through Caravan GK MCQs book, EDS MCQs Mian Shafiq, EDS MCQs Imtiaz Shaid, Islamiat MCQs Tahir Bano, PA MCQs Sohail Bhatti, Maths Prep from Matric level books, CA from Newspaper, CSS Past papers, Csspoint pdfs and online MCQs websites. are some places where i invested my time and Al'Hamdulillah I have qualified fpsc test consecutive 8 times.
But above all i believe are the prayers of my parents and blessings of Allah SWT. Without help of Allah it was never possible.

I hope it helps.

Inspector Railway police BS 16,
Preventive Officer, FBR BS 16,
Appraising/Valuation Officer, FBR BS 16,

If any senior is reading please let me know what to expect in interview and how to prepare for it.
bro thats simply mind blowing. you have landed safe till now in all the best bps-16 jobs but i would prefer appraising and evaluation as it has an edge over other and .i.e to start with your own setup and you will be a money making machine within a couple of years.rest the choice is yours. do consult seniors who can give you an advice based on pure experience and factual analaysis.

Salary will be same as all others 16 scale jobs. but its not about the salary, its about the nature of job, the experience, future prospects and social interaction.

Muddasir Brilliant. Dont loose your that type of temprament in near future coming same department bs17 level jobs.
In rest of All no doubt FBR jobs are good , but all have thier own respect and importance some people try to want adventurs life and enjoyment may take FIA and currently FIA become most powerful department after taking remarkable actions against corruption and terrorism specialy in Sindh and near to punjab province.
But i am not sure about the promotion policy of these all jobs... but i have a suggestion to pick railway police inspector job. Why ?
I know about its promotion and know about a person who joined as inspector police railway and promoted to DIG.
Final i advise put your all abilities to clear interview first than you are in a better postion about to select a group. Because some time we are thinking something but ALLAH pak give us another path. Which is surely best.
Stay blessed

Default need suggestion

Dear seniors, i also want to ask something. I have been shortlisted for inspector railway police and airport security force. My age is 20 and I ll turn 21 next month. I aspire to appear in css 2017. In this perspective, would it be advisable for me to choose the job if selected in interview I.A. If yes which post would be suitable and will not obstruct my preparation for css.
