I passed the written and received the letter to submit documents for requisitioning..now my name is dropped from preselection list. Should i file a petition or not?

if your name is in the rejected candidate list then you can go fr personal hearing but if it's not there, and you are of the low merit candidates then you can't..

Default Criteria of Pre Selection list?
Whats the criteria of Pre selection list? Is it based solely on the marks obtained in the test or it it the combined merit with weightage given to matric, inter and masters degrees?

it's based on the screening test marks only...

Either in june or july, interviews will be conducted, I suppose before that the department may conduct physican tests..

I don't understand this logic. If I was lower in order of merit thn why did they shortlist me at first? If merit was solely based on screeing test thn why did they opt to shortlist 20 30 more candidates after requisitioning of documents?

They demand documents from extra candidates because for some posts candidates don't send documents or they are ineligible. In that case required number is not achieved. If they demand documents from such number as is required for pre selection, then they have to give a second notice.
