GAT general plz anwer thee quetions

aslam o alikum to all respected members here
i am preparing for GAT like other member i have to clear some problem please reply my questions to clear my doubts, some questions will sound you stupid but i need to clear them so i apologize in advance for inconvenience
1 :my math is very poor i cant understand it , so how to prepare it?
2: is buying a book mandatory?or we can practice it from internet ?where lot of ample papers available?
3:how much time we need to prepare?
4:my friend is insisting me to appear on 6th October test is it wise decision?
5: if we really need a book then which one i best?
6:she told me its not easy to solve paper but only luck counts. is it so?
please do advise me according to your experiences,

Answer No.1 You can improve your math by starting from very basics of Math and than do lot of practice. GAt is all about practice and time management, time management comes with practice.
Answer No.2. yes book is mandotory. buy GRE Big Book and NTS GAT Guide of Dogars.
3. you need one month for preparation.
4. Yes, do appear in Octobers GAT because HEC is going to announce overseas scholarship in November.
5. Already asnwered above.
6. Hardwork counts, and time management.

thanks a lot but as i told earlier my math is really poor so i think one month is not sufficient for me to prepare the book will be enough to cover math which is required or i must start with 9th 10th math?and will we have extra paper to ssolve analytical part or all must calculate in brain ?

i have registerd for GAT ..but by mistake i didnt enter my acedmics n submited online form,,,can not edit..can i? they allowed me to download deposit slip with this incomplete form..sholud i proceed n submit fee or not? kindly guide

Same happened to my friend and she said that form was accepted temporarily but after 2-3 days they themselves rejected the form considering it incomplete and directed her to provide complete information, then she applied again successfully.

Avoid regular use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?").

2. you dont need to buy any book if you have found related stuff on internet and yes there`s more than enough data available there to prepare Gat.
1. my personal observation is that there`s hardly enough time to solve all questions, time constraint leave one with quite a few questions at the end where one has to make hunches in last moments to solve entire paper, so my advice is that you prepare english n analytical portion well and use hunch/guess option for math part in last 10 mins or so. believe me if you prepare English and Analytical well enough you`d definitely go through quite easily.
