http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/admin/fi...0No_1-2017.pdf
Hello Everyone, I work in investments in Middle East at very high salary package and international exposure. I just saw this ad on the FPSC website and I want to know what attraction does this job offer? I understand that no govt. job can provide me salary what I am earning at the moment but I want to know the perks and benefits of this job and whether it could be of any attraction to me. Thanks. |

Sure, friend. Thanks for lending an ear to my ramblings. I apologize in advance if this becomes too long a read.
I see that you are a CFA with a wealth of experience in matters pertaining to finance and investments, hence quite rightly gainfully employed abroad. I am a qualified ACCA Member and a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting graduate with just over a year of experience as a Content Analyst at one of the Fortune 500 companies in Islamabad. Since my current role offers a rather modest salary, I was considering a move to any of the Gulf countries where I could pursue an entry level role that will not only help me equip myself with a diverse set of skills but also offers me a package that allows me to afford the daily routine expenses. I have been unable to find any entry level opportunity online and realistically speaking, I am not sure an employer abroad would simply accept a foreigner unless I had years over years of experience as an Auditor or an Accountant. Thus, I would really appreciate if you could possibly guide me in how this can be achieved in a more appropriate and realistic manner. I would be really grateful to you for your help in this regard. |

Trust me Linkedin is the preferred source these days for networking and recruitment. Things are not doing great in GCC countries so unlike in the past that one may buy azaad visa and do job search after reaching there, I recommend finding job first through Linkedin or other online sources such as company website. ACCA, along with other international professional qualifications, is considered reasonable and numerous Pakisatani ACCA's have great jobs. For now, do your best in getting as much valuable experience you can in Pakistan and keep applying online. You may also consider studying further for ICAEW or CFA to become more competitive.
