Furthermore, I have heard that there are no mcqs,we will have to ans short questions in one line compared to other typical mcqs based test where one is given options for the required question

You are welcome. Actually, they didn't announce the syllabus for this exam when I appeared in it. That time I only received a letter from the ECP to appear in the exam and only date and timing was mentioned in the letter and no any syllabus. And believe me, I didn't prepare well for that because I was unclear what will comprise the test. And the test was to be held soon after Eid. So I was engaged with activities of Eid festival. But since, my G.K and English were strong areas I was able to deal with even without much preparation and fortunately came out successful.
So I don't have any idea if any test was conducted on some different pattern. And it may be possible that any test with the pattern you tell might have been conducted, but I don't know about that because I have just appeared once and what was its pattern I have already told.

I appreciate your post and information you have shared. But please and kindly have a mercy on novices who don't know much and are already confused. The syllabus you have shared is not for the post of Election Officer which will be conducted the ECP by itself, but it is for the post of Assistant Census Commissioner which will be conducted by the FPSC. Here on this thread, we are talking about Election Officer job exam which will be conducted the ECP. So please first have a close look at things before you share them.

Yes. We have already discussed it. General Knowledge and English Composition papers. This was the pattern in the previous exam for this post.
