Yes, it is recommended to make an outline, because it will make the structure of the essay clear to the examiner and fetch you good marks. The outline must be comprehensive. However, you must be able to cover every aspect of the outline in stipulated time.
IS it for FIA Test to be held in next stage?
It is syllabus for the descriptive test of Assistant Director Intelligence Bureau. It is said that they are going to announce different syllabus for FIA and FBR. But it will surely contain English Essay, Precis, Comprehension, etc. Uptill now they have not announced any syllabus for the said posts. I hope they will intimate the candidates regarding the syllabus of the exam within a week or two.

Have they announced any date for this test? When is it expected?

Assistant Director Intelligence Bureau Descriptive Test 2019

Assistant Director Intelligence Bureau (IB) Descriptive Test conducted by FPSC on 30-10-2019 consisted of the following Questions:

1. Write an Essay comprising 500 words on any one of the four given topics:
i. “Economy Boosting Measures”
ii. “If Women Ruled the World”
iii. “Linguistic Human Rights”
iv. “Mass Media and Cultural Invasion”

2. Write Précis of the given paragraph. Give a suitable title.
It looks, then, as if we can answer Fermi’s Paradox in two ways. Perhaps our current science over-estimates the likelihood of extraterrestrial intelligence evolving. Or, perhaps evolved technical intelligence has some deep tendency to be self-limiting, even self-exterminating. After Hiroshima, some suggested that any aliens bright enough to make colonizing space ships would be bright enough to make thermonuclear bombs, and would use them on each other sooner or later. Maybe extraterrestrial intelligence always blows itself up. I suggest a different, even darker solution to the Paradox. Basically, I think the aliens don’t blow themselves up; they just get addicted to computer games. They forget to send radio signals or colonize space because they’re too busy with runaway consumerism and virtual-reality narcissism. Once they turn inwards to chase their shiny pennies of pleasure, they lose the cosmic plot. The fundamental problem is that an evolved mind must pay attention to indirect cues of biological fitness, rather than tracking fitness itself. This was a key insight of evolutionary psychology in the early 1990s; although evolution favors brains that tend to maximize fitness, no brain has capacity enough to do so under every possible circumstance. As a result, brains must evolve short-cuts: fitness-promoting tricks, cons, recipes and heuristics that work, on average, under ancestrally normal conditions. Technology is fairly good at controlling external reality to promote real biological fitness, but it’s even better at delivering fake fitness—subjective cues of survival and reproduction without the real-world effects. Fitness-faking technology tends to evolve much faster than our psychological resistance to it. With the invention of Xbox 360, people would rather play a high-resolution virtual ape in Peter Jackson’s King Kong than be a perfect-resolution real human. Teens today must find their way through a carnival of addictively fitness-faking entertainment products.

3. Read the paragraph given above carefully and answer the following questions.
i. What does it mean by the word “Paradox” in the given paragraph? Give your own examples of a paradox.

ii. What does it mean by the term “Evolving Technology”?

iii. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this Evolving Technology?

And there were two more questions like these.

4. Rewrite any five of the given sentences after correction.

5. Change any five of the given sentences into indirect narration.

6. Define and use in your own sentences any five of the given pairs of words.
i. Callous, Callus
ii. Confident, Confidant
iii. Cord, Chord
iv. Ceiling, Sealing
v. Cereal, Serial
vi. Cease, Seize
vii. Casual, Causal
viii. Collision, Collusion

Errors and Omissions Excepted.
