I GOT THIS MAIL.

"Thank you for applying for a job in DFID Pakistan and participating in the online test.

Your score for the test is: 33 </>

Minimum passing percentage for this test was 60% (30 Marks). If you have passed the test we will be contacting you soon for further proceedings.

We regret if you were unable to pass the test. We appreciate your interest in joining DFID Pakistan and wish you all the best for future endeavors."

I also appeared in the online test held by DFID. What i rember that test was consisting of 40 marks and 60% comes to 24. If qualifying marks r 30, it means candidate getting 75% will considered for interview. Anway i got 30 marks n will be considered for interview. Gud Luck e.body

I scored 24 in DFID test. I have a question regarding on-line tests.
How DFID can ensure that a person has attempted an on-line test by not seeking some one's help (cheating) during the test? I think on-line test is not the best way to judge some one's abilities.
What are your views....????
Thanx
How DFID can ensure that a person has attempted an on-line test by not seeking some one's help (cheating) during the test
I dont endorse ur point of view. V should always think in positive way. As u hv also appeared in the test then y u did not seek the help of any body. Yes some 1 may have sought slight help but there was not sufficient time to call anybody and seek the help. Time margin was v limited and it did not allow any one to cheat. I personally feel, it was fair test. Thinking differs from person to person, n cant be restricted.

i got 32, and my boss got 30 for a higher designation. Im expecting that this test was to filter the CV's. Anywho hoping for a interview call soon. :pipe

no no the time for the test was 40 minutes not marks.
and as they say that minimum passing marks are 30 which are 60% so we can infer that total marks were 50. and 60% of fifty = 30.

Written test went good, wasnt expecting so many candidates for so few positions. Met up with the rozee.pk representative there aswell. I asked about the 3 different jobs being offered he said, there were problems in the start, 1st DFID required minimum qualification to be bachelors then after a while they required CA/ACCA qualified to be minimum qualification so the problem began, right now they will be weighted towards the CA and ACCA qualified people.

rizla86 Monday, March 15, 2010 05:22 PM

Gave the test at Punjab College Lahore yesterday. My written test could not have been better, but with so many candidates and so few positions I would have to be really lucky to get an interview. They made us wait an hour and a half (talk about punctuality) before we got in the lab. Had to place the keyboard on my lap as the tables were broken..lol. Everyone had to save their data on a shared folder, so you could pretty much open anyone's file and browse through which was just crazy, this only occurred to me after the test btw. People went way over the 3 hr limit and continued working while others were getting their printouts.

I don't know if the soft copies will be checked, because if they aren't it defeats the whole purpose of working on Excel as formulas and working are not visible on a printout.

I have confirmed via email to DFID that I have accepted the invitation for the Islamabad interview.

10th was the last date for confirmation. Haven't heard from them since.

I did not send any hard copy. I just sent an email with an attachment which had answers to some preliminary assessment questions.
