FPSC General Recruitment
Hi
My question is not about CSS. Its about the general recruitment like Research Officer, Assistant Director. We know that the FPSC mentions recommended books for CSS exams but it does not provide any detail about the recommended books on general recruitment like Research Officer, Assistant Director etc. Can anyone guide me in this respect that what are the recommended readings for this type of recruitment and from where I can get this information? Thanks |

Keep in constant touch with the study. Go through Pak Study, Islamic Study, Every day science, Gen.Knowledge & English for preparation for A.D. Test syllabus also is furnished by the FPSC wid the test call letter. However, for research officer, review the outlines by clicking http://www.fpsc.gov.pk/icms/admin/we...%2012-2009.pdf You need hard efforts to qualify the test as u hv to undergo intense competition. Gud Luk in ur efforts. |

Thanks both of you for your kind reply.
Yes I know that FPSC provides the topic for the test and 20% is English and 80% is subject oriented. But does FPSC recommend any book(s) for these suggested topics? As there are hundreds of books on every topic and every book is written in different perspective. Thanks |

As for as ur english 20% is concerned that is same more or less in every grammer book and other composition books.well the rest of 80% is from ur particular area so what u have to do is that u should have at least overall idea of ur field subjects .i mean u shouldn,t go dig and deep into that but just get the conceptual clarity of all important concepts and topic. And i think once u hold firm conceptual framwork of any topic and subject so then ascertianing the problems of that subject is no longer difficult. Hope i may clear ur confusion upto sum extent. wasalam regards

The real issue in general recruitment is the long time span from advertisment of FPSC to the final selection. There was a time when it used to take maximum six months, but now one has to wait for almost 1 to 2 years.
I applied for a post in March 09, the test held in october 09 and still the interview is not in sight. :ohmy Hum log kahtay hain kay FPSC main apply kar kay bhol jao. In 2 years a person's preference changes, he has more experience then require by FPSC, some ppl. transferd and some gone abroad and even the department that send requisation no more require the new staff. It is high time that FPSC should take note of this slow pace of process in this era of information technology. |
