Education requirement for Agriculture officer is B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture. There will be MCQ type paper. There is no fix date for exam. Last time, in 2009 more than 100 seats were announced after a very long time. Otherwise exam is held only for a few seats.

There are also other posts of Agriculture Officers in specific departments. Its educational requirement is MSc (Hons) in relevant field.

From which university you are doing B.Sc(Hons)?
Always post your question in relevant thread. It is not a discussion topic...:)

Your field is also very good. There are a lot of very good jobs available in PBG. My all friends of PBG are doing jobs in different Private companies and also in Atomic Energy Institutes. Agriculture Officer job is a job of Agri Extension. You have to deal with farmers. So I prefer you not to leave your field. Because future of PBG is very bright..:))

Both type of questions will be there. General and related to Agriculture. And Interview is purely agriculture based.

In my opinion M.Phil in Biotechnology from NIBGE is a better option. You can also easily get job in any project in NIBGE during your studies. After studies they will prefer you. It is a very good institute.

Your subject selection is so nice. In agriculture 50% portion consists of PBG. So you can easily do it. It is very easy. I have not opted agriculture because of this PBG portion, which is bit difficult for me.
Botany and forestry are also good. I cannot say anything about Public Ad and Statistics.
