Note:
DOMICILE: Merit=One, Punjab=Six (Open merit=four, Women quota=one and Minorities/Non-Muslims=one), Sindh(Rural)=One, Sindh(Urban)=One (Women quota), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa=Two (Open merit=one and Women quota=one). (Against merit and minorities quota posts both male and female candidates are eligible).
Upper age limit is relaxable by ten (10) years for disabled candidates on submission of disability certificates issued by the Competent Authority i.e Concerned Provincial Councils for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons (PCRDP).

Under, Esta Code, Economist Group is an occupational group like DMG, FSP, PSP. Its not a part of All-Pakistan Unified Grades (APUG), but is part of FEDERAL UNIFIED GRADES (FUG). Its only occupational group whose selection is done by other than CSS examination. Its officers are entitled for horizontal movement, for posting at all Secretariat posts, and in BS-19, these officers can join the Secretariat Group.
Research officer are designated in federal ministries like Planning and development, finance, Commerce and Industries.

Promotion grades of Economist Group:
Research Officer= Grade 17
Assistant Chief = Grade 18
Deputy Chief = Grade 19
Chief = Grade 20
Senior Chief = Grade 21
Chief Economist = Grade 22

No, only M.Sc Economics are eligible to join Economist Group..
its clear mention in Advertisement that Second Class or Grade ‘C’ Master’s Degree in Economics or equivalent qualification in Economics from recognized University.

you will be just federal employee. its non- cadre Css job. as far as promotion is concerned, it is slow than other departments. it takes too much time to move into next grade.
