Preparing for SPD Engineering Tests

Assalamualaikum Everyone,

I thought we should have a discussion going on how to prepare for SPD (Suparco, KRL, Nescom etc) Engineering tests (Electrical, Telecomm,Mechanical etc). There seems to be little to no information around on how to prepare for them. So if anyone has appeared in these tests / works at these organizations/ or knows the information please share it with the rest of us. Any relevant and helpful information regarding test pattern, interviews, syllabus contents, past papers, sample papers, books to consult would be greatly appreciated.

And my apologizes if there is already an existing thread on the topic, i searched and didn't find anything.

Dear i had appeared in NESCOM last time on 20th june, 2012. All the questions mostly covers all the subjects and are 40 in number and the paper is of 200 marks having 5 marks for each. Negative marking is also there of -1 if the answer is wrong and +5 if the answer is right.

Main subjects which MCQs covered were Electronics, Control Systems, Digital Logic Design, Circuits and some basic Physics. All you have to do is just to grab some basic concepts of these subjects. e.g for DLD, one should know basic gates, their symbols, working, what they give output w.r.t given input (which was given in the question).

Also give a little bit touch to calculus, Principle of Communication and Digital signal processing.

Best of luck.

Regards.
