Aoa. well... i've have made dis account especially to seek guidance frm u. first ov all congrats on ur success i ws searching how to improve gat gen score.. and i found ur thread. it ws informative; youtube links for mathematics...
now moving bk to myself, i've done m.phil in microbiology frm quaid-i-azam university. my research ws on viral DNA Methylation. and recently did ielts, i got listening 8.0, reading 7.5, writing 7, speaking 7, over all 7.5 ( i cud hv done better in writting n speaking, bt it ws my 1st try) so my first question is, wud it help in any way in availing foreign ph.d scholarship?

secondly, i did gat subject, and literally i hvnt studied a single word prior exam. so i got 62 marks only... now i m taking gat sub on may 19th-2013 to improve my score by actually studying.. so my question is, how much score shud i aim for...? and do other countries consider gat general n subject equivalent to gre sub n gen?

lastly, i got 56 score in gat gen, in first attempt.... and i m in desperate need to improve it... i'll be taking test in july... so how shud i improve it...? i mean i got ur youtube links for mathematics... i hv already got nts book (author:muhammed idrees), and i got it dat i hv to get barron's gmat for improving maths, i hvnt practiced since 10th grade. wot else...? wot am i missing...? any key point or crucial advice... and how to manage time in gat gen exam...? and on wot score shud i be satisfied... dat okay! at least i m done wid gat gen, i shud move to da next step... u hv got it na, wotevr i meant...?

and also plz if u wud recommend how to follow foreign scholarships...

Your IELTS score is good. I think you also have to apply for different foreign scholarships, Many of the UK, Australia's and German Universities announce scholarship, They give marks to different things like your publications, IELTS score and Academic record so apply for those scholarships by individually visiting the sites of universities.
You can send your CV to German supervisors related to your field.....two of my fellows are doing their PhD on German Scholarship, Both of them had 7 band in IELTS and German professor conducted interview through skype.
GAT-General and GAT-Subject do not help you to get those scholarships,
HEC gives foreign scholarships on the basis of GAT-General, GAT-subject is only for getting admission in PhD in Pakistani universities. If you want to improve your GAT-general result that may help you in getting foreign scholarship through HEC.
You can improve your GAT-general score by looking at those portions in which you are week. you can get in touch with by looking at this research paper.

and about publication, i'm writing a review on DNA Methylation... bt its taking ages to complete...
i hv seen da research paper. bt i didnt get it... how wud it help to stay in contact... i mean there were no email ids... i did research in comsats as well coz at da moment QAU isnt offering research in viral genetics.
