After submission of Security forms it usually take time from at least 3 months to 6 months and some time more than it. It depends upon the project where you will be posted.

Furthermore, it is not a clerical job. SPS-7 is equalant to BPS-16. It is neither 100% staff cadre nor 100% officer cadre. However after 6 years of service, incumbents usually promote in SPS-8 (17 scales) which is officer cadre.
