Appointed as Assistant Manager Electronics at Suparco.

AoA everyone,
I've been appointed as assistant manager electronics at suparco. I gave my test in February and have recently received the offer and appointment letter. If anybody has any questions regarding the test, interview, process, security clearance and any other thing related to the induction process, feel free to ask.

Regards.

Can you share your experience of Interview and what happened after that? How were you notified? What about security clearance etc etc??
Congratulations bro. What about pay, perks, privileges and career prospects of the position.
Thank you.

The perks and privileges include the allowances(technical allowance, house renting allowance, etc.) over the basic pay, pick and drop facility, free hospitalization facility for myself and the family, mess (lunch) facility, exposure to world class projects, pension and other funds, training and MSc/PhD chances from abroad.

I cannot say much about it as I haven't joined yet. My joining is in October i.A.

As for the career prospects of the position, the SPS-8 position is considered in very high regard in this organization. Promotion criteria is a bit slow. Can take up to 5 years before you are promoted to SPS 9 (talking about those who haven't done their Masters). But the best this is that you have the job security and the job is pensionable, which is a very attractive thing at least for me.

I have heard that they have a few funding problems regarding MSc/PhD fundings, but they do send people abroad for Professional trainings.

As far as I remember, my final technical interview was held too, in April (I guess 26th of April). They didn't notify me for the whole month of May. Then from some forums, I heard that people had started getting their security clearance forms in May. I lost hope of getting this job and started thinking of moving on with my life. But in the mid of June, I received the security clearance forms which I had to submit till 30th of June. I submitted them and began to wait for the security clearance procedure.

So far 3 security officers have visited my home and hostel. And in the first week of september, I got the offer appointment letter.

My interview went extremely good. At least I was satisfied with it. They asked me questions regarding my previous job, which I gave them confidently. They didn't ask me any technical questions related to my bachelors. Then they asked me why did I choose this field, why did not I opt Power? I gave them reasonable answers and they seemed quite satisfied.

The thing that I noticed that they observe your confidence level and your way of speaking. Of course the technical things also matter a lot (as it was a technical interview). The interview lasted for 15-20 minutes.
