Dear the only book which is according to the syllabus is by ilmi publishers. All the rest of the books are full of irrelevant material and seem to have been published to make to money, rather than providing good and accurate material to the candidates. simply buy bcom level books of m arif and sohail afzal principles of accounting and advanced accounting

thoroughly study principles of accounting book underline or highlight important concepts try to grasp them as much as possible

concentrate on adjusting entries, journal entries, their effect if any one missed what would be the effect of a transaction on the accounting equation.

try to understand cash book as well as bank reconcilation. try numericals of ACCOUNTING FROM INCOMPLETE RECORDS etc

cost accounting try the book of M ARIF and SOHAIL afzal. try to grasp basic cost concepts, basic foh and wip concepts. try to understand only the formate of CPR etc

after studying the book of bcom then purchase the book of FINANCIAL AND MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING BY WILLIAM HAKA BETNER AND MEIGS AND MEIGS try to grasp the concepts of whole book first read the whole book completely then try only MCQS as wel as the concepts of discussion question. DONT forget to practice questions in it what would be the effect of transactions on ASSETS, LIB, OE, NET INCOME , REVENUE EXPENSES must solve these type of questions to clear the concepts.

NO other book is required for this test just study these books which I have mentioned
by adopting this strategy I have been shortlisted for the interview of ASST CHIEF ADMN OFFICER BS 17 and it had the same syllabus as that of senior auditor
