Default Urgent help required for Eng Literature optional syllabus

Assalamoalaikum all,

My ba eng lit optional exams only 2 days away, and thre isnt a single past paper online of any pak board university.
The syllabus thats online for this subject's not detailed, as in, it only mentions the book's name 'a book of english by imdad husain'. I'm not in pak atm and dont know HOW to get the names of the Essays that are in the book. thanks to Nascent soul's thread, now i know only this much that the book contains essays.

If someone can just list the NAMES of those essays, i can serach them up online and prepare for the exam right away.

Jazakallah

You didn't mention the university name. I could help you better because universities differ on the selection of one or the other essay from the same book. However, English prose's book edited by Imdad Hussain contains the following essays:
1. Education and the training of character (sir Richard Livingstone)
2. The decline of attention (Clifton Fadiman)
3. A clergyman looks at the movies (Allan A. Hunter)
4. The Idea of Progress (joyce Cary)
5. Vulgarity (Sir Herbert Read)
6. The Pakistan idea ( Sir Allama Iqbal)
7.How to write and how to write badly (C.E.M Joad)
8. How to write well (C.E.M Joad)
9. Invitation to the world war (A.P. Herbert)
10. Modernising Shakespeare (john Ervinge)
11. Literary taste (T.S Eliot)

theres still time!! I'm so worried cos due to some unfavourable circumstances which if I mention would take the form of a short story, I couldnt buy the book from pak and now I'm waiting for my exam which is tomorrow without any preparation from this book.
changing tracks, I did search for the essays online and i found a few of them. Now what I need to know is, what percentage of the paper comes from this book, how many choices are there, basically the format of the whole exam paper?

Here is the syllabus: http://www.studyandexam.com/punjab-u...-syllabus.html
The tentative question marks are also mentioned. I happened to see the past papers a couple of years ago, but don't remind the exact pattern of the paper. In first paper I, it is clear from the syllabus that 40 marks from Short Stories, 40 from Short Plays and other 20 marks are taken from Novel. You can also can see this for Paper II.
