there is quite clear difference between short and permanent service commission.short service commission means that it is a specialized branch of the armed forces.the short service officers serve only for ten years and after that they can leave if they want.if they want to stay,if the govt approves, their service will be extended for one year after the end of each year.secondly, they cannot go beyond the rank of brigadier.the permanent commission officers are to work till the end of their service as prescribed by the rules.they are not specialized. they may be asked to serve anywhere and in any department.actually they are those who fight for the nation.the short service commission officers peform jobs in the branches of education, medical, engineering, information technology etc. i think you would have understood what i tried to make you understand.

Adeel has explained almost each and every part of ur query. but let me clear one thing , by no means short service commission is regarded as temporary job. it is regular commission and SSC OFFICERS enjoy same perk and privileges as are available to long course cadre

dear, sub lt is the rank of the most junior officer of the pakistan navy.however it is a prestigious and respectable rank and the start of a bright future career.during this rank,an officer performs different duties as assigned to him by the command.in naval aviation, the sub lt of operation branch has some important responsibilities and duties to perform at sea as well as at base.he has so many duties as i cannot tell them one by one.in pak marine,he is the inchrage of a platoon and leads the platoon whenever it is required.one most important thing, that ops branch officers have many oppertunities to be promoted to the higher ranks depending upon their performances and service records in the field.
