General Information Required

Hi all,
I have also applied for the Logistics Officer Category in the PAF jobs 2018.
Regarding this, I have a few queries:

1. Will I be required to fly as well for this branch? Because, I am sort of afraid of heights.:0
2. Is this a contractual position or a permanent one? I mean sometimes, after 5 years of service you are asked if you want to continue your service or retire from the service?
3. A friend of mine has also applied for this position, however, he is a graduate of engineering. But because of his low GPA was only eligible in the Logistics Branch and NOT the engineering branch. Will he be eligible?

Brother apply karne ki date guzr gayi hai. If you did not apply then no worry.
If applied than go for test they check degree I think to determine eligibility.
Read the ad as well.
Also this job value is like of CSS or PMS jobs, but a little difference.
Can't say anything about duties. And ISSB clearing is not easy.

I have already applied. My initial test is due on 1st April.
But I just wanted to know beforehand if they are going to accept Engineering instead of Business Administration or it would be a wasted trip.

General consensus is that engineering has business administration as a subset to it (no offence to BBA graduates). I mean, generally graduates of engineering can easily acclimatize to the management fields but the other way around is usually tougher and occasionally not allowed as per regulations.

As for the ISSB. Well, let's see.
A friend told me that they train every officer for flying up to a set standard, hence the title flying officer. Later on, only those continue flying whose job it is.
But it is quite possible, that this friend was just messing with me. :vangry
