If u need to prepare then buy some book for this purpose as you can easily find intelligence books from everywhere. About academic tests, for CS candidates, you will be judged by relevant tests. Not confirmed about CS but normally, PAF do not need very higher level but you must have to have basic & little bit higher level of knowledge as I perceive that candidate can easily clear these tests. After these two tests on test's day, there are several steps for future about which I can explain if you need.

I have also applied in PAF SPSSC (Special purpose short service commision) Engineering branch. I was told that there will be two tests taken one is of Intelligence & other is Engineering Quantitative. As you said, inorder to sit in the second test one must pass the Intelligence test. I want to know that,
1. What are the passing marks for Intelligence section ? Do I have to only pass this test or securing higher marks will benefit me ? 2. Any idea about number of questions been given in I.Q test & time alloted for it ? Is there negative marking ? 3. Any idea about Engineering Quantitative test ? kindly reply soon i have both tests in coming week. |

There are no passing marks,, just try to do as many as you can but with little consideration. Do not waste time while watching here and there. Just concentrate on your paper. Write 0-9 numbers & A-Z alphabets in front of you on something which is provided to you for rough work. it will help you for simple calculations. Time Management is always important. Just to pass is enough as highest marks are not considered at this stage but try to do the best as these can be considered at next stages. Quote:
No concept of negative marking. Just try to do with precision. Secondly, when you clear the IQ test the it leads to academic test, which has analytical problems, mathematics & english. All are MCQs. Time is enough that you can easily answer all the questions if you manage your time in well mannnered way. I personally think that these are not so much difficult & you can clear these easily.

Assalam-u-alaykum
too all dear members extremely sorry for posting this information so late, but of course it is never too late this information may be useful to others or atleast for those have to yet take the paf initials ok now, %intelligence test% 1.no.of questions=100,time given=35mins all mcq's 60% nonverbal,40% verbal i.e 60q's non verb,40q's verbal questions type sequences, pattern rec0gnition,logical,age relation type, who is taller and who is shorter type(age relation),direction type east, west, north, south. 0k now you can see these type of questions given on various web sites, 2.verbal type questions now these may include analogies, pick the odd one out, very very easy vocabulary. Result the result is displayed on the spot at the time, pass or fail instructions given there how to activate the pc and to do test now mostly people who take the test for the first time dont clear it so please please please please dont get dishearted. Only 5 or 6 clear it among those in one batch . Instruction given is jo nia hota chor dain . For evey six months they conduct this test ok. Paradigm one should be very clear that there will be a pc(obviously ) with a white board piece pasted on the table, you r required to do rough work on it with a white doard marker. Strategy and doe's and donts ok people u must be fully aware of the fact that the environment there will be quite differen then your home small cabins and two cabins on one bench, beware of your partner he will do stupid things like calculating in the air, waving his hand exectra so dont get disturbed just keep your mind totally on the test no matter what happens. There will be a review question option but be ware it will only activate when youv done 70 questions,so is k chakker mai nai pernay ka kia mamu. Super speed is required most important you should be very very fast in doing q's ok try your best to complete 100 questions, 1.keep your speed 20secs/que,i.e twenty seconds per question. 2.practice very very hard,100 's of questions while preparing. 3.dont practice from the internet its a waste of time buy books like the ones for issb tests, paf intelligence tests type books are easily avalable in the market. 4.dont take the test for fun ofcourse that you can have on the internet ,be serious and prepare seriously ok. 5.practice with a timer or stop watch to compete this kind of test. 6.dont take toolong to think over a question so jo nai hora chorr dain ki strategy per amal bhe karen but not totally ( ). now another thing there will be no negative marking ok i dont think that the score matters but may be it matters later on other steps ok. the g.k test will have more time 45 to 50 minutes i guess. 100 questions al very easy some of g.k mostly of anglish grammer the prepositions type dont have mush info about it if any one else has then please do let me know on this forum And last but not the lest dont worry if your not through, because me thinks that god has blessed every one with a unique intelligrnce and that you can not judge in 35 minutes on the same scale Last edited by marwatone; Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 01:37 PM. However, you can check for Army & Navy as well as they both hire the same profile candidates.

Hi SPSSC or SSC
are normally conducted twice a year , depending on vacancies in Logistics branch, ENgineering or IT branch. 106 non GD was held in June July and the upcoming will be probably by the end of Oct or start of Nov. I was ask the candidates who appeared in these exams to share their experience and guide more. regards |
