My Friend Asked A Quetion To Me About The Recruitment Process In Pakistan Army After Completing Graduation Degree. He Is Doing Electrical Engineering And He Wanted To Join Army Engineering Corp After Getting His Degree. I Told Him That It Is Not Possible For A Person To Join Army Corp ,if One Has Completed His Bachlor Degree From Any Institution Other Then Army Institution. I Told Him That Army Produce Their Engineers Thereself. But He Is Not Accpting That ,and According To Him Pak Army Recruit Engineers Directly Through Commission Exams.
My Question Is That Who Is Right ?
What Rank Is Given To Engineers In Army Corp ?
Can A Person Join Army After Graudation Degree ?
His Age(friend ) Is Almost 25, Is He Eligible ? Remember 1 Year Left In His Degree.

Army do recruit graduates who have earned their professional degrees from civilian professional institutes.
Although Pak army is running its own Engineering and medical colleges, even though they are often short of personnel.
For this purpose each year along with the PMA long course there is an induction known as Graduate course entry
regarding age specificatin kindly consult nearest army selection and recruitment center
Other than these mentioned courses every year there is an other special entry for medical doctors, dentists and clinical psychologists who offcourse are graduates of civilian institutes.
Rank given to graduates after induction is of captain.

and yes,,not only pak army is inducting civilians after graduation, pak airforce and pakistan navy also do the same.

Of course one may join Pakistan Army after completing graduation from civilian institution. Let me clear all details as under:-

PMA Long Course:- after F.Sc./FA (12 years of Education)
Training period: 2 years
Rank:- 2nd Lt.
Marital Status: single

PMA Graduate Course:- After BA/BSc (14 years of Education)
Training period: 1 year
Rank:- Lt.
Marital Status: single

PMA Integrated Course Graduate (IC):- MA/MSc/BS Engg/BS 4 years/MS/M.Phil/Phd

Training Period: 6 months (around 22 weeks)
Rank: for 16 years of Education:- Capt.
for 18 years & PhD:- Major
Marital Status: Married/Unmarried
Age limit for IC course: 30 years relaxed for PhD degree holders

as I told u about his age (friend) is almost 26 , is he eligible?
also he is in last semester of electrical engineering specialization in telecommunication. what rank is given to him ?
PMA intgrated course or PMA course of one year.

your friend is only eligible for Integrated Course Graduate (IC) which is advertised in press around twice a year. Rank given to IC graduate course is Capt. usually; however for PhD's sometimes either seniority or rank of Major is alloted. One more thing; for PMA IC Graduate course the subject of 16 years of Education i.e. BS Engg Computer Software, MBBS, BDS or MBA or BS Avionics Engg etc is mentioned separately & not every year all disciplines are advertised. So one have to wait to see either his subject is mentioned in the add of IC course or not. Finally for Engineers the degree must be obtained from University & its Engg program accredated by PEC and HEC & for Doctors Degree must be accredated by PMDC/HEC.
