Default differnce between short service and long service commissions
Salam to all.

I want to know the difference between short and long service commissions. And is short commission as a temporary job. For how much time period SSC officer can serve in Pak army.

Secondly i need comparison of css and short service commission. Which one will be best? Actually i dont have option for long commission in army so which one will be best for me.

1- Long service in army is usually known as long course. PMA Long Course is announced twice a year. Requirement is Intermediate with 60% marks and age limit is 17 years to 22 years. Long Course is a comprehensive and more specifically back bone of Armed Services, A candidate selected in Long Course tastes the real charm of army, promotion is rapid in it and one has a posibility to go up to the rank of General/Chief of army staff.
2- Short Comission as the name depicts is a service for short term. SSC is permanent but no rapid promotions. Candidates recruited through SCC perform desk jobs in different departments of Pak army.
3- CSS is a good option.
