After you join the army your schedule will be very tight in the first 6 months in PMA.Preparing for css will be almost impossible atleast in the first term of pma.Secondly it wont be advisable to train so hard in pma and then to join the civil services after a year.Maybe when you become a commissioned officer after completing your training you will get recommended for the army quota of css.

If someone passes the ISSB test and gets selected then there's a least possibility that they go for CSS. Once you enter PMA, you will start thinking differently but before joining the academy, you can give CSS exam a try, if you have time. But, I am sure you would not even think about CSS exam, if you have a joining letter in your hand.

Only those armed forces personnel are recommended by GHQ who have 'pawa', while others have to go through the same procedure as we do.
