Navy- female job openings

Assalamu alaykum,

I'm new here and from UK and have been trying to apply to the PK military for the last 2 years but haven't found any suitable openings yet.

Anyway, here in UK i cannot access the navy job site (although i can access the PAF and Pak Army ones).

So i would tremendously appreciate it if someone can post me a list of the current navy job openings for women.:)

Thanks,

And i wish you all the best to those of you applying to the PK military insha'A.

Oh and i wanted to mention above that i called the Navy recruitment office a few months ago and the recruitor took my details down and was very friendly. He gave me his personal cell phone number and told me he would help with the recruitment.:huh:I was wondering if this was a bit strange or dodgy behaviour by a recruitor in the navy office?

He also gave me his personal email address.

However, i didn't send him my personal details to him yet as i wasn't sure whether this person is being honest or has another motive.

Please let me know if this incident is strange or if this commonly occurs when you call the recruitment navy office?

Thanks,

M

dear melon,
If u possess nationality of UK or other countries then PAK forces will never recurit you because few restrictions are imposed by law. Other hand, if you are pakistani and just doing study in uk without having UK nationality then you may apply in PAK forces.

dear melon, pakistani nationality is the preleminary condition for selection in the armed forces of paksitan. you have to give up your nationality of other country. i also belong to paksitan navy. generally i ask you why are you so anxious about joining pakistan navy?

Thanks for the two responders above.

Yes, i am aware that dual UK nationals must surrender their foreign nationality. Also, i come from a Pak military family background so have always been interested to join, and now i am a graduate and feel prepared, but i am waiting for the perfect position that is applicable to me and my skill set, so that i can apply.

I would really appreciate it if you can send me a list of the current openings (for navy- for females), and it's great to hear from someone that is already in the navy too :)

Thanks

Melon

In addition to my reply above....i also wish to add that i don't know why native pakistanis always become so shocked when i say i'm willing to surrender my British nationality to join the Pak forces, it's not like i'm committing a crime lol....rather i think native pak's should be more supportive and encouraging. I've always admired and have love for my country since i was young, and feel determined to support the military after hearing the stories of my family relatives that are serving or have served and wish to follow in there footsteps. Nothing wrong with pursuing this dream right???

we pakistani supporting and encouraging you. you are welcome to join PAK forces, you should visit at officials websites of PAK forces frequently and FPSC too, so that you could be updated. Still no vacancies are available.

Melon, why are you not willing to appear in css exam, after become csp you can serve the country? Today, a CSP is playing vital role to defend the country from internally as well as externally threats. However, you have done graduate and are able for appearing in CSS 2014 exam. I suggest do prepartion of CSS.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, my cousin in Pak also recommended me to do the CSS exam so i will try and go for it, it seems really important now in Pak in order to have a job in the civil service, gov and/or military forces. But i do hope i can find something in the military between now and then as my age is 26 already and only have 2 years left to do the CSS. Or i may wait and apply for the more experienced roles in a few years time, that are up to the age of 35.

Thanks, i've been looking via the navy websites for career positions available over the last 3-4 years and they always seem to have limited positions for women, whilst PAF and Army have a few more, which is a bit of a drawback for me, as the navy doesn't offer what i'm looking for as i come from a Physical Geography and Environmental Science background, and I'm also studying Mandarin. But like i said, i do regularly visit their website each year to see if they have any new interesting positions for women which may possibly be suitable for me.....so if you do see something please keep me updated.
Currently i'm doing a job related to UK-China trade and e-commerce.
