Default SSC Job in Accounts Branch of PAF vs Banking Job
What would be the suggestion of you people to a person who has been working in a bank as a permanent employee. Whether or not should he join PAF for SSC in Accounts branch? Please reply keeping in view the followings:

1. Future prospect of working in Accounts Branch? [in terms of growth in PAF and/or if person leaves PAF after 10 years then what would be options for livelihood available for him]
2. How much would be the starting Salary Package of Pilot Officer in Accounts Branch?
3. How much there would be chances for conversion of SSC into PC?

1. Dont know
2. I think in accounts they take you as a flying officer not pilot officer. Expect starting to be 30-32k after deductions.
3. bright chances. Usually everyone gets PC
Another good thing is that accounts brach has no regular intake. All account branch officers are inducted through SSC. So nearly all get PC. Also they can rise upto the rank of Air Comodore.

Banking Job esp in Commercial banks is tough, requires huge time and less social interaction even at branches, you are bound, though salaries are good but a tough timing, strict compliance and sometimes targets if required make life hell.

Go for PAF!
