NOC/ DPC for Assistant Director FIA

Hello, I have been appointed in Punjab Police as a Data Entry Operator (BS-11) 2 months ago. I want to apply for AD FIA posts/grades advertised through FPSC. My office superintendent is not forwarding my NOC. He says that there is a rule that Govt. servants can not apply for any Govt. post for minimum 3 years after their first appointment. Please anyone tell me that if this rule even exists and if this rule exists than how can I apply for any other post without dpc/noc?

No such rule exists . I think you cannot get DPC as you have not completed probation period. But you can apply directly and there would be no hindrance in your appointment, if you qualify the test and interview.

Thanks for your reply. Can you please tell if I need to mention in the interview that I am currently a govt servant or show my self as a fresh candidate? Also if I qualify in the test and interview I need to resign from my current job so do I need to submit my resignation copy to the new department?

You have just started the service and take no worry about wasting your service period. As it is very short period, go ahead and apply being a fresh candidate. Because there is no comparison between A.D (FIA) and DEO. If you march to the stage of interview, don't disclose your current job before DPC otherwise question of NOC will be again hurdle. Finally if you get selected, simply tender resignation from current employer on account of domestic affair. Proceed ahead and good luck

Keep it in mind that if it comes to know to FPSC that you hide your previous services then they terminate you from your service and yourprevious will be banned to apply through FPSC.
