As Sabir mentioned... It's a long path to walk on but let me try to sum up. consult everything you can, for preparation. It includes (GK Mcqz and encyclopaedia by Ch. Ahmed najeeb. detail study of Pak affairz, Islamiat and Everyday science. Reading of Newspaper for current affairz. having good knowledge of important historical facts around the globe... history of organizations etc etc. For math, practice for quick math from GMAT, GRE and other books) and above all.. Luck and fate in order to make it through. I was sure about 88 but English portion didn't go well. so.. this is what we call competition... sometimes the paper is in your favour and most of the times, It is not. stay determined, focused, devoted and with spirit to never feel down... you will be rewarded for your efforts... In'sha'ALLAH...

While the minimum cure is to welcome rectification with a smile. Assistant BoR, the cut off open merit closed at 65/100 of descriptive test, while I could secure 64/100; a part of 'the long way'.

i wanted to ask that how much does gpa plays important part in your selection for any federal post of grade 17 or above esp FIA , css or related.(not technical posts)
I recently gave a test for FIA which went too good but my name is not in the list i think becoz of my low gpa?

one name Farooq ahmed is repeated twice on two different role numbers consecutivley in this list of candidates for FIA

It has yet to be announced. Today the talk of the town is about AD, FIA.
GPA has nothing to do with your selection at any stage in FPSC's selection process other than that the panel may give lenient marks to one having good scores. However, that is not a general practice.

There are several candidates with same names. The roll numbers are allotted alphabetically. Thus, it is quite normal that same names are consecutive.

Brother, that is simply unpredictable. These posts have been announced after about 6 years. Reportedly, there have been too many inductions in FIA via back door. Like, people were deputed from other departments and then internalized in the Agency. So these posts are rarely announced. However, the incumbent government emphasizes induction through Public Service Commission. Therefore, we may expect them as soon as some posts will be vacant.
