Default Eligibility In Terms Of Age
Dear Guys im about 40years old and has been in govt job(permanent)for about 13 years...so may i apply for AD and Inspector jobs in FIA...As per adv terms only 5 years general relaxation and 10 years to govt jobs...for Inspector age is 20-28 years so after adding 10 years it becomes 38 years..while in AD Investigation case 22-28 years so after adding 10 years it becomes 38 years...while today im 40 years...so pl guys advise me am i eligible...

what I am getting from the age relaxation is that 28 years plus 05 years general relaxation (33), is for all irrespective of region, job and domicile etc. Now, 03 years more for candidates belonging to tribal areas which make it 36. Same could be the case with other categories as well. Correct me if sm1 think i am wrong...

Yes you are eligible to apply for the said posts. As per FPSC's General Instructions para 6(1) RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT , upper age for in-service Government servants would be relaxed by 10 years up to maximum age of 55 years in pursuance of Initial Appointment to Civil Posts(Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules,1993.
Moreover, in the same para 6 sub para (2) of the General Instructions, it has been clarified that 5 years general age relaxation would be over and above any of the categories eligible for claiming age relaxation mentioned in the Initial Appointment to the Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules ,1993.
