THERE is always a discriptive test for 17 scale in fpsc.

In my opinion it might cross 85+. All the papers except Batch 4 paper were little difficult.

Aspirants with 25 plus score will be called for descriptive but it is not confirmed whether they take descriptive or not..... For the previous post, they are taking but before this, they did not take any discriptive test and just hire the candidates directly after the interview.....
The descriptive test only conducted under special circumstances recommended by members otherwise no need for it. It is also mentioned in the press release of FPSC descriptive test notification.

All aspirants were called for interview based on merit and quota. 3 candidate per post. For example, for Urban Sindh, the total seats are 3 so 3x3=9 (Nine) candidates get shortlisted. Also, it is possible that the top scorer in Sindh has score 60 marks and therefore gets shortlisted as per quota in the same time candidate having 65 marks may not call for an interview for Punjab or KPK quota just because of merit close at 70. It's not just marks but also a quota criterion.
