Question Appointment as DEO in IB
Can anyone tell which job will be best.
currently i am working as ESE in pujab education dept
also received a call for verification of DEO in IB.
what is the nature of Deo in ib and what is salary package.:thin king

ESE SCALE ? DEO is a data entry operator with BPS 12. starting salary would be around 33k . Promotion structure is bit slow . it would take almost 10 years for next promotion . data entry operator is the one who enter data in compter

i don't know your aspirations and dreams, i would suggest if you want to enjoy 2 month holidays in summer and 10 days in winter then better stay as a teacher . Intelligence bureau is a prestigious organisation and increments would be way better then as a teacher . i dont know whats your next promotions as a ese and how long it will take. my suggestion is go for it.

Rare chances of promotion. Dont know how many duration will be taken. may be got one scale higher in whole service.

Then i think you should join as a deo because by the retirement you will be performing your duties in 17 grade , i am pretty hopeful but not sure as uncertainty remains. as far as deo operation job description is concerned , deo sits back in office and perform their duties they do not have to go to field 100 percent, in every organisation there is a department called IT department who usually handle computer and networking.
your job would be mostly around computer and if you know programming languages its a plus point for your job
