General Introduction:

The Interview for AD may be like other interviews of FPSC, with a brief introduction of;

i) oneself, hobbies, sports etc
ii) family background
iii) if on-job then nature of job/responsibilities etc.

Qualification:

Educational qualification including;

i) specialization/major area of studies
ii) nature of graduate/post graduate degree
iii) subjects studied

General Knowledge :

i) Different forms of government, nature of government in different countries

ii) General geography like capitals, borders of major countries, natural resources, famous historical places, important cities

iii) Nobel Prizes, Academy Awards/Oscars, Movies, Sports (usually questions from the favourite sports of the candidate like cricket, squash, golf etc)

iv) Something about personalities like Nelson Mandella, Mao Zedeng, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Richard Nixon, Lenin, Napoleon, Mo Yan, Sardar Shebaz Akbar Khan Bugti, Shirin Ebadi, Omer Asghar Khan, etc etc

Pakistan

i) Geography

ii) Demography

iii) History

iv) Foreign Policy

v) Natural resources , gas, thar coal, reko dek, saindak etc

vi) Economy (GDP, inflation, development projects, monetary policy...)

vii) Governance including form of government like democracy, autocracy, martial law etc

viii) Other issues like unemployment, illiteracy, corruption , energy crisis, water shortage etc etc

Politics

1: International Politics:


i) Strategic involvement of world/regional powers in various flash areas in the globe.

ii) Arab Uprising including Egypt and Syria

iii) Nuclear issues including North Korea

iv) Iran issues

v) Al-Qaeeda and its involvement in many countries including Mali, Somalia etc

vi) Major Organizations i.e. OIC, SCO, EU, UN, ASEAN etc etc



2: Country Politics:


i) Country politics, specifically upcoming elections

ii) Performance of current government

iii) Constitutional provisions like role of army, judiciary and parliament etc. Human rights provisions etc.

iv) Democracy and various forms of governments

v) Asghar Khan case verdict by Supreme Court and alike court proceedings

Terrorism Related issues:

i) Balochistan, reasons of trouble, missing persons possible remedies

ii) Terrorism in country, reasons and possible remedies.

iii) Sectarianism, causes, remedies etc

iv) Karachi problems and remedies

v) Taliban phenomenon

vi) Recent terrorist attacks, nature of killings, claimed by etc

Pak Relations with other countries: (must include some historic referencing etc)

USA

i) War on terror
ii) US-Aid, trade, iran gas pipeline, Chinese link
iii) Drone Attacks etc



India:

i) Main issues; sir creek, water, siachen
ii) Kashmir
iii) Trade
iv) Amman ki Asha etc etc



Iran:

i) Social issues
ii) Gas pipeline



Afghanistan:

i) ISAF/US Army in Afghanistan and its exodus and aftermath including future development
ii) Afghan Taliban, Haqqanis etc



China

i) Relationship, Trade, Gawadar, Energy Support etc



Middle East

i) Saudia, UAE and Syria
ii) Palestine issue



Africa

i) Egypt
ii) Libya etc


USSR

Intelligence, IB, World Intelligence Agencies etc
