It varies. For the last case they took over a year to conduct the descriptive test. And there would be further shortlisting before candidates are called for the descriptive phase. So just set back and relax. By the way how many marks were you expecting?

Timeline of whole process of AD IB is
Screening test
Documents verification
Written test
Pyschological test & interview
Interview
Security clearance
Medical examination
Training of 9 months at an unknown place.

The whole process takes about 2 years.
Documentation will take at least 2-3 months. In our case of AD IB 274 , they took 8-10 months in that process. However, it varies. After shortlisting candidates at this stage, they will conduct written test which can be conducted in a month or 2 after documentation process. So descriptive test can be conducted within 4-6 months or may be earlier.there is no hard & fast rule.
Written test is quite demanding.
Its result will be announced in three months. After that, psychological test will be held at each provincial centre. It takes a month or two. After that interviews are conducted within two months. Candidates shortlisted in interviews will be selected as ADs. They will wait for 2-4 months for being called by department for joining. After that , training starts in islamabad. ATS COMMANDO training is given to ADs.

Right now , they will shortlisted 10-11 candidates on each seat for documents verification . However, They will shortlist candidates in a ratio of 1:8 per seat for descriptive test. This process takes a good time. E.g, in our case, We took screening test on 28th January, 2018. And our decriptive was held on 30 October,2019. i.e, after about 18 months.

The shortlisting is done on what basis? And do they reject candidates on the basis of their documents? Meaning by the nature of their degrees.
Should i also send DMCs of both Matric and inter certificate?if you may guide me.

Thank you for sharing these details. I have another question: Do you have any idea about the job, like the role/duties of AD IB?

The ratio for shortlisting candidates for descriptive is 1:8. However, they will take top 10-11 candidates on each seat for documentation. This is because, If any one of the top 8 candidates is found absent or his/her documents are found invalid, they will fill his/her position by those 2-3 candidates(other than top 8). They just select 3 more candidates on each seat to ensure ratio of the merit. For example , if they select only 8 candidates for each seat in documentation process & only 5 of them submit documents then what will they do ?
That's why they ensure the merit by shortlisting candidates next in merit. If all top 8 candidates submit their documents & are found valid, they will drop rest candidates. It doesn't mean that all those who had qualified screening will be called for descriptive.

Yes they do reject candidates if required documents are found invalid/fake etc. They usually drop those candidates who don't have degree certificate or who are employees & do not submit NOC.
Just send them required documents which they have mentioned.
