well it Says a bridge is to be constructed on a 120 metEr LONG RIVER....n 2 quarter, each on either side....1 quarter on either side of bridge not the river length IMHO....so if 2 quarters make 120m other two on EITHER sides should b 60 each hence making it 240;

looking at options it seems option was COSMOGONY, you are right! There wasn't any option like cosmology, my bad! i thought it was cosmology,i did pick that option nevertheless

question was tricky as we had to take the length of the bridge (not the length of river 120 which was 30 m )
you do not understand the question clearly.its ans is 180
120 total.
one side quater 30
2nd side quarter 30
after that you make total; 180
ab to question tek sa yaad nai hai but es ka ans 180 he hai.
plz read the question 2 or 3 times then solve it.mostly students post math question without logic.plz add solutions.

A bridge is built across the river. The river is 120 meters wide. One quarter of the bridge is over the left river bank and one quarter of the bridge is over the right river bank. How long is the bridge?
a. 150 m b. 180 m c. 210 m d. 240 m
This is the exact statement and answer comes out to be 240 m... Option D had no 'm' (Unit metre) in it...

Statement:

A bridge is built across the river. The river is 120 meters wide. One quarter of the bridge is over the left river bank and one quarter of the bridge is over the right river bank. How long is the bridge?

Correct choice:

240m

How?

Those who say 180m are making quarters of 120m, well that is not right. Statement says that two quarters are exactly above the soil while other two are exactly above the wet-length or wideness of the river. And this wideness is given as 120m. 120m makes two quarters so one quarter will be 60m and that gives a total of 240m.

(1/4 into 120 = 30) + (1/4 into 120 + 30)
120+30+30=180
As per Mathematics rules according to four fundamental binary operations together to find any value we require all the values except the one which is tobe found.
For example; 3x+2=3(4)+2, here we can find the value of x.

Have you ever seen any bridge that is half built on river and half on ground???

39. Fuel wood logs sawed 53 times and 72 pieces made. If the cutter saw only one at a time how many there were before cutting?
please tell the answer of this question and how we can find the solution. I could not understand the question.
