There were 5 questions in the descriptive paper. Candidates had to attempt all of them. Total time allowed was 90 minutes.

Questions:

1. What is the purpose of kernel in operating system? Describe two major type of kernels and their advantages. (20 marks)

2. List and briefly explain different phases of SDLC in order. (20 marks)

3. What is capability maturity model? Explain its different levels. (20 marks)

4. What is FPGA? How is it different from ASIC? (20 marks)

5. What is cloud computing? List and briefly explain different service models of cloud computing. (20 marks)

Question 2 to sab ne hi kiya hoga, as SDLC is repeatedlt taught in different subjects in some forms.
Waise I give this phases in it.
1. Vision/ Initiation
2. Requirements
3. Design
4. Coding / Implementation
5. Testing
6. Maintenance

I thought we were going to be asked about current affairs and had to write an essay in the descriptive test so I went to a wedding instead.

I have also qualified for the third phase as checked it on NTS website. But, I didn't get the message. Do you people get it in message that it will be psychological test??

Yes
And I only write answer of 1 questions, while other I write a tense or 2.
Wonder what was it for, as I still passed it.
