I recommend you to peruse the CSS competitive examination syllabus and past papers available at FPSC's official website. Firstly, make a list of subjects in which you are feeling comfortable. Secondly, choose from those shortlosted subjects the scoring ones.
As far as electrical engineers are concerned, sometimes they choose subjects like Physics, Applied Mathematics etc. But that is risky if you have not studied the said subjects in your graduation. In 2018, one of the engineers scored 180+ marks in Physics. While many others failed the subject. So, select your optionals wisely.
