Lightbulb Function of A.D ISI?

Asslamulaikum,

Here Let me call upon the seniors to elaborate this topic.
After such a prolonged and bitter process of A.D ISI B.17, what is the function of A.D?
It is always rumoured, If I am not wrong one of the respected forum members earlier said that " even an Superintendent of Police is bring to book by the ASI of ISI? Isn't it strange?
A man of 17-Grade is under a man who bears just 9-Scale?
What is the salary of A.D ISI?
More facilities, if any?
We will ask more, after the replies of Seniors, or Qualifiers!

Regards...

Arrow first thing comes first!

brother, first thing comes first......if you are interested in MoD then prepare for next turn.if you have qualified MoD exam then wish you good luck,in that case when you hold your office you will come to know all the responsibilities.what is necessary to know is simply.......AD Mod is a spy kind of duty, you will be assigned different tasks by your commander and you have to complete it.as far as pay package is concerned, from 2005,at time of musharaf regime,ISI service structure as well as pay package has been revised.according to my poor info,Rs.35000,you will get pay with all allowances e.g risk allowance, medical, house allowance, displacement allowance etc.if you are assigned to field job then ofcourse, four wheel is also at your disposal.

wish you all the best!!

Default Responsibilities of AD ISI

AOA. Responsibilties of an Assistant Director in ISI include various assignments related to intelligence and national security duties including analysis, office and field work, coordination with different government departments etc.The job comes under civil services rules as goverened under ministry of defence with same pay package as of any grade 17 government officer. However there is an extra special allownce equivalent to 20 % of basic pay(about Rs 2000). As one has to serve in cantonments and military environments, civil officers enjoy all facilities(Mess,Accomodations, transport) available to army officers. It is a good job but no comparison with CSS.

AD ISI is more likely spy job. but duties can be like in admin department, media, communication, inteligence, investigation, technical, reasarch, security, tranportation,HR, finance, IT , cordination and some other departments. So its nt all spy ...its an organzation and in orgainzation one can b posted in any field according to education qualification, experience, aptitude and on the basis of other things.

Question

I have read in some thread that AD. MOD gets a salary package of Rs.35000/- atleast and here i happened to see that AD MOD only gets equal to the BPS-17 salary plus a minor 20% extra allowance. Its not a proper salary for a highly competitive post like this and doesn't seem logical therefore. Its an undeniable fact that we need a good rumeneration for our services. So should'nt we have a clear view that what we are striving for ?.... any body with exact information please come up.

I came across something which said that civilians who enter ISI - (through ministry of defense exams: FPSC,etc) are never qualified for 'field' work. Is this true? If so, then these poor applicants will never serve as spies as many intend to...please tell me if this is true? i hope its not!

@Mia
I have read the second paragraph. First of all recruitments are not through FPSC but ISPR and army selection centers, talking about the civil ones. Secondly it is true that army personnels in ISI have a upper hand but this means more management and decision making responsibilities and less field work. Well I don't know what is so good about a spy job. When one is to serve, can serve in any role.
